  • Do not forget to attempt a final walkthrough. This is very important for all the buyers, no matter whether it is their first purchase or fourth. During this, you need to make sure that the owner has vacated and all the items that were promised are in place, correctly. This is a type of home inspection task, performing which is important if you do not want to incur problems later. It is a good idea to communicate with the seller and the agent, in case something looks fishy or inappropriate to you.
  • Make sure you have collected all the necessary documents that you would be requiring for closing down the deal. While the set of documents differ from deal to deal, certain out of the entire lot always remain the same. Hence, do carry these: Paperwork from the bank just in case you have applied for a loan, a copy of the contract, ID proof, home inspection reports (where needed), etc.
